Stone served as the Game Day Operations and Facilities Graduate Assistant at East Texas A&M, a former Division II, Lone Star Conference university that moved to Division I in 2022. Stone had worked in this position from August 2023, before coming to TWU.
In his role at East Texas A&M, Stone oversaw a team of student-workers and scheduled them for game day operations. He managed pre- and post-game setup for all athletic events. He also assisted in maintaining the athletic facilities and managing the upkeep of all athletic venues. Additionally, he served as the visiting team and officials' representative. Stone also helped the Director of Facilities and Events with vendor relationships and project management.
Stone completed his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M – Commerce. While working towards his bachelor's degree in sport and recreation management with a minor in marketing, Stone also worked with the athletics department as a student worker, assisting with operations and other game day event elements.
Before graduating in December 2021, Stone moved to Lamar University and worked as a Game Day Operations Intern for a semester. As an intern, he served in various capacities with the operations of all Lamar athletic events. He assisted in setup, tear down, coordinating visiting team and official arrivals and also assisted in facility upkeep.
Following his time at Lamar, Stone worked with Greenville Parks and Recreation as an Athletic Specialist for a year. In this position, Stone managed the registration process, team assignments, game schedules, uniform orders, practices, and game schedules. He also trained officials and oversaw sponsorship recruitment.
Stone transitioned back to his alma mater as a graduate assistant where he received his Master of Science in Kinesiology and Sport Studies with a concentration in athletic administration, in the Spring of 2025.Â
