Texas Woman’s University soccer coach Fleur Benatar and her staff will host a Coaching the Female Soccer Player Symposium on July 10-11, 2009. University of Notre Dame head coach Randy Waldrum will be the guest speaker and lead instructor at this event.
This coaching clinic is designed for coaches who coach girls/women’s soccer players at all levels. The symposium will offer a comprehensive education in all areas of soccer with emphasis on the female soccer player. Topics covered will include the 4-3-3 system, shooting and finishing, defending the flat-back-four and many more.
Randy Waldrum, the current president of the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) , is fourth all-time in winning percentage among active NCAA Division I coaches. He has 394 total career wins as a collegiate head coach and guided his teams to six NCAA College Cup appearances, including the 2004 National Championship title and second place finishes in 1999 and 2006.
