Race Results
Texas Woman’s University hosted the third annual Pioneer Power Sprint Triathlon on Sunday, August 9, 2009.
This
USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned event featured a 300 meter swim, a 20 kilometer bike ride, and a 3.3 mile run.
The swim took place in the indoor pool of Pioneer Hall. Both the bike and run courses started and finished on the interior of the TWU campus (in front of the Blagg-Huey Library).
All Pioneer Power Sprint participants received custom-made finisher medals. Immediately following the race, a FREE pancake breakfast was served. Racers and spectators were also entertained by live music from Corn Fed Boy, a popular Denton band featuring lead singer Denny Bonewitz.
Dallas Sports University, a Coppell based company, produced the race.
All profits from the Pioneer Power Sprint Triathlon benefited the TWU Soccer program.

Course Description: The swim takes place in the clean and well-managed Texas Woman’s University pool. The bike route is a relatively flat 20 km, out-and-back course (click
