2008: Played in 23 matches while making nine starts...posted 91 kills, 144 digs and 17 blocks...averaged 1.54 kills, 2.44 digs and 2.1 points...second on the team in service aces with 24...recorded a double-double at Central Oklahoma on Oct. 30 with 12 kills and 14 digs...had double-digit digs in four matches.
2007: Started 12 matches and played in 70 games…her 155 kills were the fifth-most on the Pioneer roster…averaged 2.21 kills per game and 2.84 points per game…second on the team in service aces with 29…finished sixth in the Lone Star Conference with 0.41 service aces per game…tied the TWU school record for most aces in a match (9) in a five-game win vs. Eastern New Mexico on Oct. 13…had three matches with double-digit kills...also totaled 114 digs, and 27 total blocks…named a Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the week of October 8-14.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned three varsity letters (2004-06) and numerous awards as a member of the Eustace High School Bulldogs’ volleyball team... as a senior in 2006, she was the Bulldogs team captain and received the team’s Most Valuable Player award...additionally, she was chosen as the 2006 District 13-3A Most Valuable Player and the 2006 All-Henderson County Player of the Year...in 2005, her junior season, she was recognized as Co-Most Valuable Player of District 12-3A and the All-Henderson County Player of the Year...she was also named the Bulldogs’ 2005 Most Valuable Player... as a sophomore in 2004, she won the Team Newcomer of the Year award and was chosen for the All-District 12-3A second team and the All-Henderson County first team...also starred in basketball, softball, and track at Eustace...played club volleyball for the Dallas Summit National 17’s and the Pink Panther 17’s and 18’s...piled up a lengthy list of of academic honors at EHS as she received multiple Academic All-District and All-State awards and was a member of both the National Honor Society and the A/B Honor Roll... graduated in May 2007 as the salutatorian of her high school graduating class.
PERSONAL: Alyson Leigh was born on January 25, 1989 and is the daughter of Larry and Jeri Harlan...undecided on her major...hobbies include going to the movies with friends and spending time her family and dogs...volunteers her time with two community service organizations, Keep Athens Beautiful and Labor of Love.
