DENTON, Texas (March 11, 2024) - No. 6 UT Tyler is the next rival for the Texas Woman's softball team, who will travel to Tyler, Texas to take on the Patriots for a Lone Star Conference series.
The series will start with the lone game played on Tuesday, March 12 at 6 p.m. while the doubleheader is set for Wednesday, March 13 at 1 and 3 p.m.
TWU (14-13, 12-6) is currently ranked fourth in the LSC standings after a clean sweep against UTPB for a conference series last weekend in Denton, Texas. UTT (19-5, 11-4) occupies the second spot on the LSC and has a win streak of ten games. The last time the Patriots lost a game was on February 10 against Cameron.

A LOOK AT THE PATRIOTS

UTT have swept three straight LSC series against Angelo State, UTPB and most recently Midwestern State.

The Patriots own the all-time record between TWU and UTT 10-0. They took last year's victory in Denton, Texas by 9-1, 11-2 and 4-3.

Kaylee Davis will be the Patriot to watch in the circle for UTT. Davis leads the LSC in ERA (1.14), opposing batting average (1.48) and has only allowed 19 hits and six runs.

TWU is coming off of a clean sweep against UTPB. Their second one of the season.

Alyssa LeBlanc (7-5), recently named LSC pitcher to watch, will be leading the Pioneers from the circle. LeBlanc pitched 12 innings against the Falcons and struck out 18 batters from 37 she faced.
- Delaney Boley, Ciana Rodriguez, Vivica Hernandez, Hawwa Townsend and LeBlanc will look to break the Patriots defense. All of them have shown to be consistent at bat for the Pioneers.
- Jaycie Hall (3-4), who usually switches spot in the circle with LeBlanc, also collected a win against UTPB this past weekend. The junior from Paris, Texas, pitched all five innings and recorded seven strike outs.
