DENTON, Texas (Apr. 16) – The TWU gymnastics team has added another student-athlete to its 2016 incoming class. Jenna Cashmore (Sarasota, FL) has signed a National Letter-of-Intent and will join the Pioneers for the 2015-16 academic year.
Cashmore will be a part of the Pioneers' incoming fall 2015 freshman class along with early signees Erin Alderman, Megan Gentry and Anna Gortner.
"Jenna is an outstanding athlete and an all-around competitor," said TWU assistant gymnastics coach
Garrett Griffeth. "We are really looking forward to her making an immediate impact on all four events and we expect her to be a presence in the back of our bars lineup for the next four years. She is a hard worker and has an even-keeled personality that will be a great fit for our incoming freshmen class."
Cashmore has competed at the Lakewood Ranch Gymnastics in Lakewood Ranch, FL, for the past six years and was Level 10 gymnast in 2014 and 2015. She captured three uneven bars titles during the 2015 season and was the All-Around Champion at the 2015 Gasparilla Classic. Cashmore also placed fourth in the all-around and first on the uneven bars at the 2014 Florida Level 10 State Meet.
She was a member of the Advanced International Education Certificate (AIEC) program at Sarasota High School. AIEC is an honor program sponsored by Cambridge University.
