DENTON, Texas (Nov. 11) – TWU gymnastics head coach Lisa Bowerman announced the signing of two gymnasts to National Letters of Intent.  Hannah Swoish (Roswell, GA) and Hunter Vincent (Tinley Park, IL) will join the Pioneers in the fall of 2016.
 
"We are thrilled to be adding these two phenomenal student-athletes to our program," said Bowerman.  "Both of them have a track record of success and they are certain to help take our program to new heights."
 
Swoish has competed at Gymnastix Training Center in Buford, GA, since 2011.  She was a state champion and regional qualifier as a Level 10 competitor on floor in 2015 and on bars and beam in 2014.  Swoish was also an Eastern National Champion on vault, beam and all-around as a Level 9 competitor in 2013.  She will graduate from Blessed Trinity Catholic High School this spring and is a member of the National Honor Society and National Art Honor Society.  Swoish has been accepted into the TWU Honors Scholar program.
 
"Hannah is a powerful gymnast with dynamic gymnastics and a big personality that will surely be a crowd-pleaser in Kitty Magee Arena," Bowerman said.
 
Vincent, the younger sister of current TWU gymnast Taylor Vincent, has competed at Aerial Gymnastics Club in Downers Grove, IL, since 2011 as a Level 10 gymnast.  She was a state and regional qualifier every year and a JO National Qualifier in 2012 and 2015.  Vincent placed second on bars, vault and all-around at the 2015 Illinois State Championships and captured the all-around title at the Region 5 Championship.  She will graduate from Tinley Park High School in the spring and is an honors student all four years.
 
"Hunter is a fierce competitor who has enjoyed great success at the club level and will make an immediate impact on all four events for the Pioneers," said Bowerman.
 
"Both of these young ladies display confidence and character in all that they do and are going to do big things in their time here at TWU," Bowerman said.
