The Pioneers will then travel to Honolulu, HI to play in the 2010 Hawaii Tournament. The team will play its final three games of the regular season at home. TWU will face the new member of the conference, Incarnate Word on Nov. 4 and then take on Texas A&M-Kingsville on Nov. 6. The Pioneers will close out the regular season with a non-conference game against Southern Arkansas on Nov. 8.
“We are thrilled to open the season with a home tournament,” Barberee said. “All three tournaments this season have some great teams and should be very challenging. Conference schedule is always tough and with the addition of Incarnate Word it will even tougher.”
The top eight teams in the final conference standings will earn a berth in the 2010 LSC Volleyball Championship to be played Nov. 11-13 hosted by the regular season champion. TWU will be looking to qualify for the LSC postseason volleyball tournament for the eighth year in a row.
