TWU Gymnastics ranked 19th in NACGC/W Team Academic Rankings
DENTON, Texas (July 21) – The 2010 TWU gymnastics team was ranked 19th out of 69 teams in the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W) scholastic rankings. The Pioneers compiled a 3.4156 team grade points average during the 2009-10 academic year.

The rankings are calculated by determining a weighted GPA on a 4.0 scale that creates a relevant measure for comparison among all the women’s gymnastics programs in NCAA Divisions I, II, and III.

Ten members of the Pioneers’ 2010 team recorded grade point averages of 3.50 or higher last year and were named 2009-10 NACGC/W Scholastic All-Americans. Mollie Blessing (3.85), Alexa Brennan (3.89), Marcella Fallon (3.54), Sara Grunert (3.83), Caroline Hilpisch (3.60), Keri Miller (3.90), Krystyn Misheck (3.76), Kelsey Nixon (3.76), Leslie Pladson (4.00) and Amy Winczura (3.57) were the TWU gymnasts to earn individual Scholastic All-America recognition.
