“This was definitely a hard fought game,” said TWU head coach Beth Jillson. “I was very happy with the way we attacked the basket in the first half. We’ve had a tendency to be a little tentative starting the second half and that was the case today. For us to show the heart and to fight like we did, with only eight players really shows what this team is made of. We started the season with 13 players and the group that is left have really played hard over the stretch run.”
