Durr named LSC Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
DENTON, Texas (March 1) – Texas Woman’s University senior guard Jessica Durr has been named Lone Star Conference Women’s Basketball North Division Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 22-28. The weekly award is the third for Durr this season.

In the two games last week, Durr averaged double-double with 15.5 points and 13.5 rebounds to lead the team to two wins. She recorded 12 points, 14 rebounds, and three steals in a come from behind win against Southeastern Oklahoma on Wednesday and then added 19 points and 13 rebounds at East Central on Saturday. Durr also became the eighth player in school history to record 1,000 career points. She now has 1,001 career points and 544 career rebounds.

The Pioneers closed out the regular season with 15-11 overall record and 9-5 in the Lone Star Conference North Division. The nine conference wins are most in school history, breaking the record of eight set in 1989-90.

TWU will have its highest seed in history when it opens the Lone Star Conference tournament on Thursday, March 4 in Bartlesville, Okla. The Pioneers will be the No. 3 seed in the LSC North Division and will face Tarleton State, the second seed from the South Division, at noon Thursday in the first round.
