SAN ANTONIO, Texas (February 7) – An RBI single in the top of the eighth inning by junior outfielder Angie Arebalos lifted the Texas Woman’s University Pioneers to a 5-4 extra inning win over the Incarnate Word Cardinals the final day of the 2009 St. Mary’s Division II College Classic in San Antonio.

Arebalos’ sharp hit to left field was her second base knock of the game and chased home TWU senior centerfielder Tiffanie Boone with the winning run. Freshman catcher Amy Menge was the other offensive star in the contest for the Pioneers as she had a double and two runs batted in. The victory over the Cardinals came in the second game of the day for the Pioneers. TWU was defeated 9-1 by Rollins College in their first game on Saturday morning.
