Three Pioneers receive All-Lone Star Conference recognition

DENTON, Texas (November 11) – Three members of the Texas Woman’s University volleyball squad - senior setter Jessica Crow, junior outside hitter Alyson Harlan, and junior libero Kendra Coulson - have been selected for the 2009 All-Lone Star Conference volleyball team. Crow and Harlan were second team picks while Coulson garnered honorable mention recognition.

TWU Volleyball Weekly Release for the week of Nov. 9-15, 2009

DENTON, Texas (Nov. 10) – The Pioneers have advanced to the 2009 Lone Star Conference Championship Tournament for the seventh consecutive season and 12th year in a row. No. 6 TWU will face No. 3 Angelo State on Thursday, Nov. 12, at noon in a quarterfinal game. The winner will take on the winner of No. 2 Abilene Christian/No. 7 Texas A&M-Kingsville in the semifinals on Friday, Nov. 13, at 5:00 p.m. The championship game is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14, at 7:00 p.m. Keep up with all the TWU volleyball action by reading the attached PDF file of the TWU Volleyball Weekly Release.

Harlan named LSC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week

DENTON, Texas (Nov. 10) – Texas Woman’s University junior outside hitter Alyson Harlan has been named Lone Star Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 3-10. The player of the week award is the second for Harlan in her TWU career.
